He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl A. Tillery and Anna Marie Harbin Tillery; and his siblings, Carl Tillery, Jr. and Betty Boles. He is survived by: his wife Deborah Jamison; his daughters, Jennifer Faauaa (Michael) of Murfreesboro and Angelina Handley (Tim) of Murfreesboro; his brother Steve Tillery of Knoxville; his grandchildren, Ariel Faauaa, Erin Faauaa, Mallory Golliher, Christa Icobelli, Isabella Handley and Hunter Handley; his great grandchildren, Aaric Icobelli and Damian Icobelli; and his niece Gail Tatum.
