It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Hazel Coppage (Murfreesboro, Tennessee), who passed away on December 22, 2018, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Oscar Gentry Coppage; and her grandson André Jelks, Jr.. She is survived by: her son Bernard Jelks (Brenette); her grandchildren, Shawn Bernard Jelks (Rosalyn) of Chicago, Jasmine Jelks, AuShauna Jelks and Jamia Jones; her sisters, Edna Lewis of New Orleans and Jean Myles of Baton Rouge; and her nieces and nephews, Shaun, Rhonda, Ronald, Michelle, Brett, Seneca, Cynthia, Phaedia, Minnie (Robert) and Catherine.
