It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Estelle Johnson Russell (Murfreesboro, Tennessee), who passed away on November 2, 2024, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Hattie Mai Blackman and Walter Gaines; her spouse Jerry L. Johnson; and her sisters, Gladys Brown and Linda Blackman.
She is survived by: her sons, Santoria "Tyree" Johnson (Kimberly) and Carlos Johnson; her siblings, Juanita Williams, S. L. Young Jr. (Colleen) and Stanley Blackman; her grandchildren, Cierra, Christian, Jeremiah, Kaliyah, Kimayah and Kyree; and her great grandchild Elijah. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
