He is survived by: his parents, Marie Phillips and Don Sr. Phillips; his sisters, Monica (Joseph Jr.) and Donna (Scott Sr.); his nephew Joseph III (Ingrid); his great-niece Rhianna; his niece Elyse Johnson (Mike Metz); and his nephew Scott Jr..

Visitation was held on Wednesday, March 5th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the Northside Baptist Church (655 W Thompson Ln, Murfreesboro, TN 37129). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, March 5th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
