He was predeceased by: his mother Evelyn Pelland; his wife Annette Pelland; his siblings, Ronald Pelland and Delores Makela (John); his siblings-in-law, Rachel and Steve Vukonich; his nephew Steven Lancour (Allen Yowell); his great-nephew Troy Mayer; and his grandson Dillan Coffey.
He is survived by: his daughter Dianne Coffey (Heath); his grandchildren, Austin Johnson (Amy), Logan Johnson, Kaitlyn Coffey, Christian and Hayley Coffey; and his sisters-in-law, Paulette Aho (Carl) and Juliette Lancour (Douglas).
