He was predeceased by: his parents, James Clessie Vinson and Bomer Scurlock Vinson; his wife Mary Elizabeth "Liz" Cagle Vinson; his sister Shirley; his daughter Theresa Vinson Treadway; and his grandchildren, Shannon Andrew Treadway and Kim Treadway.
He is survived by: his daughter Vicki G. Vinson of Nashville, TN; and his stepchildren, Mitzi Beasley (Tommy) of Murfreesboro, TN and Terry Minton (Stephanie) of Woodbury, TN. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
