He is survived by: his wife Rebecca "Blair" Akers; his children, Layne Beckett Akers and Nori Jayne Akers; his parents, Charlie Akers and Susan Akers of Murfreesboro; his siblings, Stacy McRoberts (Steven) of Nixa and Laura Akers of Murfreesboro, Tennessee.; his parents-in-law, Rick and Trudy Collins; his sister-in-law Brooke Travis (Danny); and his nieces and nephews, Jackson, Mollie, Nate McRoberts, Alli Crew, Anthony Akers (Beth), Isaiah Carter, AJ Swader, Jet, Collins and Landry Travis.
