Carolyn Smoot Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Carolyn Smoot of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 29, 2025 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William A. Henegar and Jimmie Henegar; and her sister Jane Duke. She is survived by: her children, Gwen Williams (David), Campbell Smoot III, Mandy Meehan (John) and Mary Carolyn Nance (Brook); and her grandchildren, Mitch Barnes, Tyler Barnes, Jackson Barnes, Chance Smoot, Natalie Smoot, Logan Meehan, Nicholas Meehan, Tanner Nance and Ellie Nance. She is also survived by seven great grandchildren; and many other family and friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, February 2nd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Woodfin Funeral Chapel - Murfreesboro (1488 Lascassas Pike, Murfreesboro, TN 37130). A graveside service was held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Mt. View Cemetery (209 Mountain St, McMinnville, TN 37110).
Memorial donations may be made to the North Boulevard Church of Christ benevolent fund or PAWS of Rutherford County.
