Carolyn Dyer Butcher Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Carolyn Dyer Butcher of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, who passed away on April 1, 2025 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Clyde Dyer and Marie Dyer of Alcoa; her sister June Trbovich; her sons, Steven Gilbert and Eric Butcher; and her granddaughter Sarah Cannon.
She is survived by: her husband Doyle Allen Butcher; her brother Dan Dyer; her children, Clyde "Bud" Gilbert, Brian Butcher (Kathleen), Russell Butcher, Allison Dunsmuir (Scott) and Joni Cannon (Roger); her grandchildren, Leah Edwards (Kyle), Hanna Rake (Jeremy), Andrew Butcher, Kayla Lunn (Justin), Cody Butcher (Austin), Jesse Butcher, Justin Butcher (Kelly), Mason Dunsmuir and Laurel Dunsmuir; her great grandchildren, Lola Sarah, Crew, Ella, Daniel, Lucas, Jamison, Logan and Keegan; and her nephew Bentley.
Visitation was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Woodfin Memorial Chapel (1488 Lascassas Pike, Murfreesboro, TN 37130). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials donations can be made to PAWS of Rutherford County.
