He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Reed and Hermie Reed; and his siblings, Buddy Reed, Linda Scott, Mary Francis Sweatman and O'Neil Lindsey.
He is survived by: his wife Nita Reed; his sons, Shannon Reed (Alicia) and Junior Reed (Angela); his stepsons, Wayne Glover (Brandi), Shane Glover and Andy Simmerman; his sisters, Myra Forbess (Jack), Sarah Britt (W. J.) and Carolyn Matthews (John); his grandchildren, Hunter Reed, Tanner Reed, Kade Reed, Kyleigh Reed, Daniel Glover and Olivia Leigh Glover; and his great grandchild Valerie Reed. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.
