With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Richard Alton Reed (Munford, Tennessee), born in Memphis, Tennessee, who passed away on March 11, 2024 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Alton Reed and Edna Reed; his wife Diana Newton Reed; his in-laws, Dalton and Mabel Newton; and his half-brother Charles Reed.
He is survived by: his daughters, Sarah Blackwood (Daniel) and Virginia "Ginny" Spielman (Dustin); his grandchildren, Emma Blackwood, Adley Spielman, Abby Blackwood, Ella Mae Blackwood, Cooper Reed Spielman and Abel Blackwood; his brother Joe Burkhardt; and his brother-in-law Alan Newton (Glynda). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
