She was predeceased by: her husband Louis Evans Howard; her parents, J. K. Buford and Grace Buford; her son Jimmie L. Howard (Robert D); her brothers, James Buford and Thomas Lawson Buford; and her grandchildren, Dale Howard and Anthony Stafford.
She is survived by: her daughters, Willa Jo Stafford (Charles) and Cathy D. Bollet (Lance); her brother Fred Buford (Barbara); and her grandchildren, James K. Steadman, Kristina Miedl, Ashley Gillia, Tonia McCalvin, Jamie Stafford and Jason Stafford. She is also survived by many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
