He was predeceased by: his wife Vina Ann Payant; and his parents, Stanley Aaron Payant and Dora Marie Dennison. He is survived by: his children, Joan Annette Estes (Sam), Jeanine Allison Adkison (Keith), Joseph Aaron Payant (Barbara), James Alphonse Payant, Jr. (Kathy), John Anthony Payant (Lynn) and Jeremy Andrew Payant; and his siblings, Cecelia Reed-Hubbard of Lake Michigan, Patricia Mcdonald of Phoenix, AZ, Kathleen Dennison Kirby of Spokane, WA, Kenneth McDonald of Spokane, WA and Scott Dennison of Spokane, WA. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
