He was predeceased by: his parents, George Marvin Hanks and Edith Huffman Hanks; his daughter Lori Anne; and his brothers, George Maurice Hanks and William Richard Hanks.
He is survived by: his children, Amanda Hanks Harris (John Harris) of Leesburg Georgia and James Randall Hanks of Sanford, Florida.; and his siblings, Faye Griffin (Freddie Griffin) of Arlington, Lynn Hanks (Kimberly Hanks) of Madison and Shelia Brubaker of Brighton, Tennessee.. He is also survived by his three grandchildren.
