He was predeceased by: his wife Regina Lents Mashburn; his mother Nannie Hopkins Mashburn; and his siblings, Malcom Mashburn, George Mashburn, William Mashburn, Mary Taliaferro and Betty Smith.
He is survived by: his children, Gene Mashburn, Jr. of Munford, Brad Mashburn of Millington and Kimberly Payne (Danny) of Munford; his grandchildren, Heather Mashburn Kirk (Brett), Daniel Payne and Emily Payne; and his great grandchildren, Rylee Kirk, Ellie Kirk, Finley Kirk, Callan Peridore and Payne Peridore.
