She was predeceased by: her parent Sarah Ellen Simpson; and her grandson Dakota Byrd. She is survived by: her husband William Paul Byrd; her children, Paul Randall "River" Byrd (Mark), Mellony Byrd Tapp (Andrew), Charles Anthony Byrd (Jana), Wendell Neal Byrd (Melanie) and Wendi Gail Hill (Jonathan); and her sisters, Joyce Culp, Evelyn Russom, Kathy O'Neal and Judy Day. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 12 Great grandchildren.
