He was predeceased by: his son Freddie Hampton Sr.; his grandson Freddie Hampton Jr.; his stepson John Rosenbaum Jr.; and his brothers, Eck Hampton, Earl Hampton, Kermit Hampton, Junior Hampton and Eddie Hampton.

He is survived by: his wife Ollie Winters Hampton; his stepdaughter Tracy Pauley of Mountain City, Tennessee; his grandchildren, Kylie, Sadie and Tanner; his great grandchild Cindy Hampton; his children, Kylie and Tanner; and his brother Diesel Hampton of West Jefferson.
