He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester Greer and Nellie Gay Pennington Abernethy; his former wife Billie Jean "B. J." Greer; and his stepson Joe Hux. He is survived by: his wife Iris Hux Greer of Mountain City, TN; his stepdaughter Lee Lewis (Wayne); and his sister Karen Russo. He is also survived by numerous cousins and extended family and friends.
