He was predeceased by: his parents, Don Allen Johnson and Geneva Belle Edminsten Johnson; his former wives, Mary Lucille Owens Johnson and Martha Louise Arnold Johnson; his brother Allen Johnson; and his nephew Bill Johnson.
He is survived by: his wife Laura Grinstead Johnson; his brothers, Frank Johnson (Betty) of Mountain City, TN, Scott Johnson (Linda) of Mountain City, TN and Glenn 'Cotton' Johnson; his friend Shirley of Bristol, TN; his stepchildren, Abigail Beale (Jerry) of Greensboro, NC, Laurie Conrad (Jeff) of Vansant, VA, James L. Huggins and Joseph E. Huggins of Ashtabula, OH; his stepgrandchildren, Natasha Keen, Jeffrey Conrad, Reanna Conrad, Ronnie Conrad, Lindsay Campbell and Niveta Beale; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Annaleigha Keen, Kaiden Keen and Grayson Conrad; his cousins, William Edminsten, Baxter Edminsten, Joe Edminsten, Nancy Trexler, Mary Shores and Reecie Craig; and his close friends, Terry Reece, Coy Miller, Aaron Miller, Larry Triplett, Ronnie Triplett, Mike Reece, Mary Jane Johnson, Rick Thomason, Jana Lee Thomas, Darrell Thomas, Hilda Wilson, Derick Wilson, Joe and Fran Phillips. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
