It is with great sadness that we announce the death of MacK Proffitt of Mountain City, Tennessee, who passed away on October 24, 2021, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Sam Proffitt and Rettie Stout Proffitt; his stepmother Ruby Harmon Proffitt; his siblings, Sanford Proffitt, Ralph Proffitt and Jean Day; and his half-sister Donna Kay Pierce.
He is survived by: his wife Teresa McKinney Proffitt; his children, Tracy Proffitt and Jamie Proffitt (Angie); his stepson Rusty McKinney (Tonya); his siblings, Pansy Saylor, Paulette Nichols, Paul Proffitt (Pete) and Jim Proffitt; his stepsiblings, Barney Estep (Butch), Sandra Grindstaff and Frances Maynard; his sister-in-law Lisa Oliver; his grandchildren, Samantha, Savannah, Caleb, Cloey, Jerry, Sheila Roark, Kenneth, Adam Lowe, Matthew Hicks, Jim Robinson, Wallace (Bum), Sue Stout and Roy Clark; and his cousin Larry Proffitt (Robin). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and many special friends.
