She was loved and cherished by many people including: her grandmother Violet; her husband Rick Thomason; her sons, Jonathan Thomason (Shawna) of Elizabethton, TN and Josh Thomason (Leticia) of Mountain City, TN; her grandchildren, Violet Elaine Thomason and Everett Samuel Thomason; her mother Ilene Wilcox Cuddy; her siblings, Pam Icenhour (Billy Ray) of Mountain City, TN, Angela Hawkins of Mountain City, TN, Robin Greene (Chris) of Mountain City, TN, Toby Riley (Thomas), Tony Nelson (Barbara) of New York and Scott Wilcox (Maxi) of Mountain City, TN; her mother-in-law Dorothy Akard; and her sisters-in-law, Susie Carter and Cindy Hines (Denley). She was also cherished by several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
