She was predeceased by: her parents, John F. Greer and Anna Gentry Greer; her former husband Charles B. Hux; her husband Vance Greer; her son Joe Hux; her siblings, Alice Miller, Wilma Greer and Wayne Greer; and her siblings-in-law, Ruth Blevins Greer, Kathleen Greer, Bob Morefield and Julian Miller.
She is survived by: her daughter Edna Lee Lewis (Wayne); her sister Ethel G. Morefield; her grandchildren, Julia Gilsdorf (John), Matthew Lipford (Amanda) and Christopher Hux; her great grandchildren, Sophia, Willow, Zack, Danny, Zoe, Kit and Sully; her nieces and nephews, Marcia Thomas (Wade), Mike Morefield (Linda), John Morefield, Joe Morefield, Robby Morefield, Carolyn Mize (John), Tim Greer (Pam), Debbie Caffey (Bill), Lisa Hayes (Charlie) and Lee Lyons (Dennis); and her sister-in-law Karen Russo.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 15th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Mountain City Funeral Home (224 S Church St, Mountain City, TN 37683). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 15th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
Iris was a supporter of Rescue Dog & End of Life Sanctuary in Mountain City and the family asks in lieu of flowers donate to this cause; or you may donate to First Baptist Church W.M.U. at 421 West Main St., Mountain City, TN 37683.
