He is survived by: his wife Madeline Mahala Parsons; and his siblings, Mary Lou McCoy of Ashe County, Agnus Dotinger of North Wilkesboro, Thelma Vineyard of Winston-Salem, Roger Parsons of Ashe County and Delmar Parsons of Delaware. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and several great nieces and nephews.
