She is survived by: her children, Laurie Jean Wurm (Rosemary McLaughlin) and Jesse MacGregor (Laura Yeackel); her grandchildren, Lucy Kathleen McLaughlin, John Mattison McLaughlin and Cora Mae MacGregor; and her close friends, Karin Bell, Eileen Breisch, Vickie and AllenWurtz.

“Heather was a sewing teacher (with Karin and some others), whose kindness and humor touched my 5 children and me. She had recently shared with me her health struggles. She was mentally ready to move closer to her children to have more help. I am so sad that she didn't have the chance to do this. We loved her natural teaching abilities, stories of her past - teaching, etc.. It leaves a great void to know she's gone.”
