With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Hazel W. Gentry of Mountain City, Tennessee, who passed away on October 26, 2024 at the age of 86. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Hazel W. Gentry to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Isaac Wilson and Esther Barr Wilson; and her siblings, Helen Brooks, Kathryn Baker, Warren Wilson and Homer Wilson.

She is survived by: her husband Bill M. Gentry; her children, Patrick John Gentry (Jeanne) of Richmond, VA and Donna Gentry Leahy (Kevin) of Fredericksburg, VA; her sisters, Mary Roten Grindstaff, Betty (Buss Wright) and Joan Smith; her grandchildren, Ashley Hunt (Tim), Kelsey Gentry, Reilly Leahy and Colin Leahy; and her great grandchildren, Aiden and Wesley Hunt. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Mountain City Funeral Home (224 S Church St, Mountain City, TN 37683). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that memorial donations be made to the United Methodist Women at Valley View United Methodist Church.
