In loving memory of Garland Miller of Mountain City, Tennessee, who departed this world on January 8, 2025 at the age of 90. Garland leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Miller and Beulah Miller; and his brother Vaughn Miller (Ella). He is survived by: his wife Mary Ella Payne Miller; his sons, Jimmy (Martha) and David (Kathy); his grandchildren, Jennifer Miller Smart (Andy), Julie Miller Crosswhite (Bud), Jason Miller (Heather) and Laura Williams (BJ); his sister Shelby Stout (Clyde); and his brother-in-law Don Payne (Wilma). He is also survived by 11 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 12th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the First Free Will Baptist Church (336 Hemlock St, Mountain City, TN 37683). A funeral service was held on Sunday, January 12th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Phillipi Cemetery.
