She was predeceased by: her parents, Ira Snyder of Washington and Amanda Dowell Snyder; her husband John C. Hess; and her siblings, Annie Cleo Snyder, Fannie Wilson, Ider Pardue, Arthur Snyder, Claude Snyder, Charlie Snyder, Edward Snyder, Stanley Snyder and John Snyder.
She is survived by: her children, Connie Payne (Larry) of Knoxville, TN and Jerry Lipford; her grandsons, David Payne and Craig Lipford (Cheri); her great grandchildren, Abby Lipford, C. J. Lipford and Austin Payne; her sisters-in-law, Ellen Dancy (Jack) and Shelba Hicks; her nieces, Betty Ann Johnson and Sharon; and her close friends, Tula Wilson, John Harmon, Wade, Marsha Thomas, Mark Brindre, Phyllis Miller and Karen Winslow. She is also survived by cousins, nieces and nephews.
