It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Clarence Junior Gentry (Mountain City, Tennessee), who passed away on January 28, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Gentry and Gladys Gentry; his sister Lillie Alice Morely; and his granddaughter Amber Nicole Gentry. He is survived by: his wife Elsie Gentry; his children, Kathy Rogers (Rob), Clara Heaton (Kent), Karen Eller, Kitty Peters (Jeff), Tracy Greer (Jim) and Mark Gentry; his siblings, Louise Miller, Eleanor Wagner, Helen McQueen (Charles), Francis Duncan, James Gentry (Ida) and Conley Gentry (Sue); his grandchildren, Robbie Rogers (Kristie), Rebecca Reece, Matthew Peters, Laura Baird (Matt), Tyler King (Jessica), Ashley Ferguson (Matt) and Caleb Greer (Natalie); his great grandchildren, Kylah Rogers (Thomas), Keaton Rogers, Hailie Reece, Ethan Reece, McKynlee Peters, Madalyn Peters, Levi Ferguson, Addyson Rogers and Lenyx Rogers; his close friend Harold Wilcox; and also, Nancy Forrester and Sharon McQueen. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Mountain City Funeral Home (224 S Church St, Mountain City, TN 37683). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 2:30 PM at the same location.
