Betty Kate left this world on December 6, 2024 at the age of 91, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, Dana Walsh and Rosa Stout Walsh; her husband Oliver Neatherly; her daughter Pamela Halbrook; and her brother Jimmy Walsh.
She is survived by: her daughter Jennifer Neatherly; her grandchildren, Susan Reece of Jacksonville, FL, Jeff Halbrook (Becky) of Kingsport, TN and Joey Stout (Jennifer) of Mountain City, TN; and her great grandchildren, Sadie, Maggie, Caroline Stout, Landon Halbrook and Betty. She is also survived by friends and neighbors.
The lying in state was held on Sunday, December 8th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 1:30 PM at the Mountain City Funeral Home (224 Old South Church St, Mountain City, TN 37683). A graveside service was held on Sunday, December 8th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Pleasant Grove Church Cemetery.
