He was predeceased by: his parents, Athol Hunter Smith, Sr. and Virginia Calvert Smith; his former wife Debra Jean Parham Smith; and his siblings, Martha Jo Davis, Patsy Shaffer (George), Ruby Frazier (Bobby) and Hunter Smith, Jr..
He is survived by: his wife Wanda Faye Glass Smith; his children, Stanley Dewayne Smith, Jr. and Amy Elizabeth Smith (Danny); his stepchildren, Brandy Rochelle (Ron), Tina Krusell (Erik) and Homer Glass (Becky); his grandchildren, Kara Ann Steadman, Lillian Grace Reid, Jackson Dwayne Smith and Anthony Dewayne Smith; his stepgrandchildren, Blake Rochelle (Suzanne), Shawn Blalock (Samantha), Kara Blalock, Kaitlyn Blalock, Aaron Rochelle, Tyler Glass and Matthew Glass; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Anderson Ray Rochelle and Ari Blalock; his brother Bobby Smith (Mary); and his siblings-in-law, Jerry Davis, Terry Parham (Pam) and Amy Rochelle (Marvin). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
