She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Edward Barnes and Elizabeth Pearl Fox Barnes; her husband Bernard "Elmer" Burns; her former husband Herman Adair of Hohenwald; and her siblings, James Barnes (Thelma) of Columbia, Eugene Barnes (Minnie) of Columbia, Charles Barnes (Lollie) of Columbia, Margaret Brady (Elton) of Hilltown, Dorothy Potts of Hohenwald, Paul and Pauline.
She is survived by: her children, Margaret Elizabeth King (Michael), Betty Jo Mansfield (Phillip) and Bernard E. Burns Jr. (Carol); her brother Bobby Barnes (Sylvia) of Somerville, Alabama.; her brother-in-law Vance Potts; and her grandchildren, Monica King Murphy (Mark) of Maysville, Missouri, Bradley James Johnson of Columbia, Bethany Robbins (Kenny) of Columbia, Brently Johnson (Christie) of Thompson Station, Matthew Burns (Cassie) of Culleoka, Benjamin Burns of Columbia, Nathan Burns (Amber) of Columbia and John Mansfield of Columbia. She is also survived by many great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
