He was predeceased by: his parents, George Tolbert Foresyth and Kate Lee Childress; his wife Marie Dean Merritt Foresyth; his daughter Rebecca Ann Foresyth; and his brother Charles D. Foresyth.

He is survived by: his daughter Judy Marie Foresyth Elmore; and his granddaughters, Monica Marie Elmore and Cortney Allene Elmore. He is also survived by nephews and nieces.
