Rita Joy Grigsby Obituary
We are sad to announce that on February 3, 2025, at the age of 71, Rita Joy Grigsby of Mount Juliet, Tennessee, born in Nashville, Tennessee passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Harold Gray and Edith Carlene Gray (Tony Barnett); her brother Tony Gray; her children, Jeff Barnes and Katelyn Grigsby; and her great grandchild Hensleigh Rose Gilleylen.
She is survived by: her daughter Emily Zapton; her siblings, Pat (Mike), Ginger Gray and Barry Gray (Debrorah); her daughter-in-law Trisha Barnes; her grandchildren, Kayla Hester, Porsha Hester (Jackson), Ashleigh Gilleylen (James), Destiny Barnes, Samantha Zapton (Maggie), Faith Barnes (Noah), Nickolas Zapton and Alivia Grigsby; and her great grandchildren, TJ, Adalynn and Christian.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Mount Olivet Funeral Home (1101 Lebanon Pike, Nashville, TN 37210). A memorial service was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
