He was predeceased by: his wife Ezell Knowles Tipton; his parents, Walter Stephens Tipton and Ruby Della Emerton Tipton; and his siblings, Laverne Burton, Elaine Boatman Harris and Willard Tipton.
He is survived by: his children, Jackie Tallent Sandra (Bob) and William Ayers (Rose); and his sister Lisa Elkins. He is also survived by 8 Grandchildren; 9 Great Grand children and 4 Great Great Grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, April 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Tulip Grove Room at Hermitage Funeral Home (535 Shute Ln, Old Hickory, TN 37138). A reception will be held on Friday, April 25th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hermitage Funeral Home (535 Shute Ln, Old Hickory, TN 37138).
