It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothy Jean Phillips of Mount Juliet, Tennessee, who passed away on October 21, 2022, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Myrna Gaines and John Dave Gaines; and her sister Marie Sumrow. She is survived by: her husband Thomas Herman Phillips; her daughters, Janet Dearman (Chuck), Katherine Phillips-Slate and Melinda Clary (Cary); her grandchildren, Paige Dockens (Josh), Taylor Southard (Bobby), Chandler Marie Slate, Crystal Marie Ferguson and Chad Clary (Courtney); her great grandchildren, Tayden Dockens, Hannah Dockens, Kannon Dockens, Avery Jo Southard, Roman Slate, Ty Ferguson, Kymree Ferguson, Casen Brooks Clary and Charlotte Ann Clary; and her sisters, Anne Parrish and Nina Corlew.
