He was predeceased by: his parents, Homer Bethard and Hazel Bethard; and his siblings, Ada Johnson and Dexter Bethard. He is survived by: his wife Judy Bethard; his daughter Kimberly Watson (Kevin); and his sisters, Loretta Perry and Esther Bounds. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 23rd 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the Johnson - Arrowood Funeral Home (320 Grandview St, Church Hill, TN 37642). A graveside service will be held on Sunday, February 23rd 2025 at 1:40 PM at the Church Hill Memory Gardens Church (208 Lane St, Church Hill, TN 37642).
