She was predeceased by: her parents, Earnest Mercer and Nannie Dockery Mercer; her former husbands, Walter Moore and Carl Moore; her son Robert Moore; and her siblings, Paul Mercer, Robert Mercer, Louise Nance and Lois Shelton.

She is survived by: her husband Marvin Nance; her children, Walter Moore Jr. (Janice), Jimmy Moore (Melissa), Donald Moore (Lisa) and Lisa Pitts (Edward); her stepdaughter Betty Nance (Mike Coggins); her great grandchild Justin McGhee; her siblings, Pearl Landers and Eugene Mercer; and her half-sister Helen Byers. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
