He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Alvin Gurkin, Sr. and Peggy Jean Fortune Gurkin. He is survived by: his children, Elaine Seavers (Eric) of Louisville, TN and Frank Gurkin (Haley) of Nesbit, MS; his sisters, Ramona Hunter of Kentucky and Holly Dawn Gurkin of Moscow, TN; his granddaughter Ellie Ember Gurkin; and his niece Meagan Hall.
