She was predeceased by: her husband Joe Smith Jr.; her parents, Robert L Russell and Quinnie Russell; and her siblings, Hubert Russell and Hazel Turner.
She is survived by: her children, Cheryl "Sherry" Black (Allen), Teresa Gail Miller, Larry Smith (Betty) and Stephen Smith (Kim); and her grandchildren, Caroline Sizemore, Kimberly Troup, Angela Lowe, Tiffany Smith, Heather Russell, Robin Hale, Emily Smith-Peavler and Joshua Smith. She is also survived by fifteen great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.
