He was predeceased by: his parents, Homer Waddell and Maggie Waddell; and his sisters, Martha Smith, Lucille Healey, Ann Valentine, Carol Cox and Elsie Waddell.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Waddell; his children, Allen Waddell (Carmita), Susan Akins (Wendell) and Craig Waddell (Carrie); his grandchildren, Michael Williams (Jessica), Vanessa Pedraza (Chris), Savannah Waddell and Sarah Waddell; his great grandchildren, Finley Williams, Delaney Williams, Viviana Pedraza and Riley Williams; and his siblings, Pauline Long, Sandra Rashaw, John Waddell, Harold Waddell and David Waddell. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and many friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Westside Chapel Funeral Home, Inc. (3521 W Andrew Johnson Hwy, Morristown, TN 37814). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Chandler-Brewer Cemetery.
