He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Lawrence and Ada Tobie; and his siblings, Donald Tobie, David Tobie, Alfred Tobie and Janice Morgan.
He is survived by: his wife Wanda Sue Tobie; his son Mickey Tobie (Jodi); his stepdaughters, Darla Parton, Carla Keaton (Mitch) and Melanie Diane Strickland; his granddaughter Alexis Melton (Jonathan); his stepgrandchildren, Allen Prus, Sydney Parton, Mindy Strickland, Willie Strickland and James Taylor; his sisters, Betsy Manis and Kathleen Tobie; and his close friends, Dave Carroll, Phillip Smith, Jackie Haynes, Brian Garry and Stan Hickey. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and special friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, March 26th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Westside Chapel Funeral Home, Inc. (3521 W Andrew Johnson Hwy, Morristown, TN 37814). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, March 26th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Thursday, March 27th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Jarnagin Cemetery (855 S Fairmont Ave, Morristown, TN 37813).
