He was predeceased by: his son Jeffrey Lane; his parents, Jim Lane and Zona Lane; and his siblings, Bill Lane, Emma Baxley and Lou Pollard.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Painter Lane; his sons, Tony Lane (Cindy), Tracy Lane, Clark Lane (Kim) and Mark Lane (Deborah); and his granddaughters, Morgan Ellis (Will), Mackenzie Knisley (Ben), Madison Kelley (Colin), Lacy Swiertz (Cody), Lindsey Paczkowski (Seth) and Rachel Daugherty (Ethan). He is also survived by 9 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 19th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Mayes Mortuary (444 W Main St, Morristown, TN 37814). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, February 19th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Hamblen Memory Gardens (5421 E Andrew Johnson Hwy, Russellville, TN 37860).
