She was predeceased by: her parents, Lacy LeRoy "Roy" and Bessie Catherine Carpenter Self; her husband Daniel Paul "Dan" Hicks; her siblings, LeRoy Self (Jane), Carolyn Jean Self and Geraldine Jinks (Jimmy); her siblings-in-law, Don Hicks and Betty Blackburn (Earl); and her parents-in-law, Henry and Goldie Hicks.
She is survived by: her children, Dewayne Hicks (Wyonia), Darrell Hicks (Ruby Loftin) and Deana D. Hicks; her grandchildren, Kayla Bolinger (David), Tony Hicks (AnthonyWidmann), Ryne Hicks and Alie Hicks; her great grandchildren, Jackson Lee, Connor Bolinger, Hunter Bolinger, Ryder Greene, Levi Greene, Olivia Hicks and Markie Smith; her siblings, Diane Sawyer (David) and Ronnie Self (Marilyn); and her sister-in-law Joyce Manning (Jim). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews; and numerous honorary grandchildren.
