He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Griffith and Arlene Griffith; his daughter Courtney Griffith; and his siblings, Ellis (Jackie), Elzie, Melvin, Adrian Griffith and Zella Shepard.
He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Griffith; his son Mark Griffith (Erica); and his siblings, Elmer Slone, Barbara Ferrell (David), Marietta Thornsberry and Linda Wireman (Paul). He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews and all of his grandchildren.
