He was predeceased by: his parents, Rena Sr and Pierce Carpenter, Sr; and his siblings, Jimmy, Aldon, Clyde, Stokely, John, Nealous and Laura Miley.
He is survived by: his wife Frankie; his son Tim Carpenter (Betsy); his grandchildren, Kyle and Alexis of Sterrett, AL; his son Jason Carpenter (Ginger); his grandson Reagan of Harpersville, AL; and his sisters, Dolly Kurtz of Camden and Charlotte Sebastian of Morristown. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be sent to the Hillcrest Food Bank to help support and feed those in need.
