She was predeceased by: her husband Ralph Spurgeon Jr.; and her parents, Henry Hurst and Maggie Hurst. She is survived by: her children, Avery Spurgeon, Pamela Bull (Brian) and Irene Myers (Terry); her grandsons, Shawn and Brandon Nance; and her siblings, Von Hurst (Hiroko), Reba Hutchison and Ester Richerson. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
