It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mildred Nicely of Morristown, Tennessee, who passed away on November 21, 2020, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her children, Kenneth D. Carpenter and Leona Michelle Nicely; her parents, Velta Carpenter and Freda Carpenter; and her siblings, Buster, Fred, Reford, Homer, Idol Carpenter, Bonnie Coffey and Sue Seals.
She is survived by: her husband Leon Nicely; her daughter Karen Sue Owens; her siblings, Shirley Brooks, Stella Seals, Maxine Hodge, Geneva Bunch, Larry, Bruce, Claude and Williard "Bill" Carpenter; and her close friend Rita White. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren.
