He was predeceased by: his father John L. Hopson; and his siblings, John Hopson (Johnny), Kathy Potter and Sandra Wicker. He is survived by: his mother Stella Collins; and his siblings, Lisa Noe and Benny Collins. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of funeral services, the family requests that all who wish to participate donate to the Boys & Girls Club of Morristown.
