She was predeceased by: her husband L. C. Spakes; and her siblings, Arthur, Doyle, Curtis, Frank, George Brooks and Sarah Davis.
She is survived by: her sister Betty Repass; her children, Alicia Johnson, Rhonda Simmons, Lloyd Drinnon (Debra) and Starr Russell (Ray); her grandchildren, Shawn, Brian (Kristen), Tyler Kitts (Theresa), Stephanie Dockery, Ian Drinnon, Laura Blair (Michael) and Sydney Beswick (Allen); her great grandchildren, Kaylen, Olivia, Faith, Sam Kitts, Mica, Mason Dockery, Finley and Elliott Blair; her great great grandchildren, Isaiah and Paisley Howard; and her close friends, Ruth Brooks, Mel Arakaki, Evelyn Hein and Margaret McBride.
