She was predeceased by: her husband Charles A. Ellis, Sr.; her son Charles E. Ellis, Jr.; her parents, Gene Collins and Myrtle Collins; her stepfather Rome Williams; her brother Jimmy Collins; and her pet Lucy.
She is survived by: her daughters, Diane Wright (James), Libby Drew (Richard) and Linda Knight (Billy); her grandchildren, Jason Wright (Penny), Annette Grubb (Chris), Shanda Davis (Lebron), Anthony Drew, Chad Hopson (Stacey), Nicholas Knight, Missy, Charlie and John; her sisters, Delois Winstead and Agnes Locke (Johnny); and her close friend John Solomon. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
